If you've landed on this page, chances are you've heard one version of events about me — most likely from Pat Lindsey. I'd simply ask for a few minutes to share mine, in my own words, with the actual emails so you can decide for yourself.
Years ago, I bought a stud dog from her — a Yorkshire Terrier she represented to me as small. He grew far larger than she told me he would, big enough that he was unusable as a stud for my program, and it is my honest belief that she knew that was likely to happen. Then, about a year ago, I bought another dog from her that she represented as a purebred Yorkie. That dog turned out to be a Biewer — not the purebred Yorkshire Terrier I understood I was buying.
I trusted Pat completely. For years I considered her a true friend and worked alongside her. It has been a genuinely painful thing to look back and see how that trust was used.
I also want to address what's being said about my work. I did not “steal” anyone's website. Pointing a domain so that it forwards to a website does not take anything away from anyone — anyone in this industry knows that. After Pat moved her website to a different designer, its traffic dropped; that has nothing to do with me. It's my view that the effort to discredit me — and to steer other breeders away from hiring me — has far more to do with competition than with anything I've actually done.
There is also the matter of our trademark. After Pat moved her website away from our web-design company's services, we found our trademarked name placed throughout her site — in the meta page titles and the meta descriptions. That name is a federally protected trademark that we own, and it is not hers to use.
I'm not asking anyone to take sides blindly. I'm only asking you to read the emails below, in order and in full, and draw your own conclusions.
Thank you for keeping an open mind. — Janet
A note in good faith: this page is public and searchable so that anyone who hears one version of events can also find mine. Every email below is reproduced exactly as it was sent, as a screenshot and as plain text, so nothing is taken out of context. I have no intention of harming Pat, her name, or her business in any way, regardless of what has been said or done. My only aim is to tell my side honestly.
